Road Closures

Information on Temporary Road Closures

Dear Residents!

Carinthia is set to become the stage for cycling! On Sunday, 20 September 2026, Carinthia200 will make its debut — an international cycling event starting and finishing in Villach. Nearly 2,000 participants from Austria and abroad will line up — with the goal of becoming Austria’s largest road cycling race.

To ensure that the field passes safely through your municipality, temporary road closures will be in place along the route. All roads along the race route will be closed to public traffic during the respective closure periods. The exact closure times are listed below; once the final vehicle has passed, the roads will be reopened quickly, section by section. The closures have been planned together with the authorities and emergency services to keep disruption to a minimum.

This notice is intended to inform you about the affected roads and the respective closure times in your municipality. With your support, Carinthia200 will become a safe and unforgettable celebration of cycling — thank you for helping us make it happen!

Come out to the route, cheer on the riders and experience the inaugural event up close!

If you have any questions, our team will be happy to assist you at any time by phone on 0660 / 5576511 or by email at !

A digital route map including all closure times is available here.
