The Kneipp Akademie, based in Klagenfurt, is Carinthia’s largest training centre for therapeutic massage. Throughout the Carinthia200 weekend, its massage therapists are on hand for participants before and after the event, right at the Carinthia200 Expo at Gerbergasse 12 in Villach – whether for a Pre-Carinthia200 Activation or a Post-Carinthia200 Regeneration.
A massage can have an activating or a calming effect, depending on the speed and depth of the strokes. It wakes the body up and prepares it for physical exertion – or helps it wind down afterwards. That makes it the ideal complement to any sport: massage supports muscle strength and flexibility and can help prevent soreness. After 105 or 197 kilometres on Carinthia’s roads, it helps your muscles get back to full performance faster, by improving circulation and supporting the removal of metabolic by-products.
